2. Upway Travel’s role
Upway Travel provides personal travel inspiration and enquiry support. When you decide to proceed with a quotation or booking, the arrangements will be made through InteleTravel’s approved systems with the principal or supplier identified in your confirmation documents.
Your travel contract will normally be with the named principal or supplier, such as a tour operator, airline, cruise company or accommodation provider. That organisation’s booking conditions, cancellation terms and other applicable policies will form part of your booking.
The InteleTravel Agency Terms of Business apply when InteleTravel acts as the booking agent. Please read those terms and every relevant supplier’s conditions before confirming and paying for a booking.
Nothing displayed on this website is a confirmed booking or a promise that a travel service will be available. A booking exists only after the appropriate confirmation process has been completed and the relevant confirmation documents have been issued.
3. Enquiries, prices and availability
The journeys, destinations, accommodation, events, tickets and experiences described on this website are presented for inspiration and initial enquiry.
- Prices, timetables, opening hours, availability and inclusions may change.
- Images may be illustrative and may not show the exact room, service, vehicle or experience available for your dates.
- Special requests cannot be guaranteed unless the relevant supplier confirms them.
- Any quotation will be subject to its stated validity period, the supplier’s terms and availability when you confirm.
Please check the names, dates, destinations, timings and other details on every quotation and confirmation document. Names supplied for travel must match the relevant passport or accepted identity document. Tell Upway Travel promptly if you notice an error.
Separate travel services
Where travel, accommodation, tickets, dining or experiences are explored as separate selections, each may have its own supplier, contract, price, payment schedule, amendment terms and cancellation conditions. The protection applying to one service may not apply to another.
4. Website content and acceptable use
Upway Travel takes reasonable care when preparing website content, but travel information changes frequently. The website is provided for general information and inspiration and is not a substitute for the latest information from the relevant supplier, government, health authority or professional adviser.
Unless otherwise stated, website text, branding, layouts and original photography belong to Upway Travel or are used under licence. You may view the website and print a reasonable extract for personal, non-commercial use. You must not reproduce, republish, sell, alter, scrape or separately distribute the content or licensed images without the appropriate permission.
You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious software, interfere with its operation or use it for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful activity.
External links
Links to InteleTravel, suppliers, government services and other independent websites are provided for information and convenience. Those organisations control their own websites, content and services. A link does not mean that Upway Travel controls or guarantees the linked website.
5. Responsibility and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Upway Travel does not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or free from errors. To the extent permitted by law, Upway Travel is not responsible for loss arising solely from reliance on general website inspiration where current supplier or official information should have been checked.
Responsibility for booked travel services is governed by the contract and conditions applying to that booking. InteleTravel’s Agency Terms explain its role as booking agent, while the named principal or supplier is responsible for the travel service it has agreed to provide, subject to the applicable law and booking terms.
Privacy and cookies
How Upway Travel handles personal information is explained in the Upway Travel Privacy Notice. A separate Cookie Notice will describe the technology actually used by the website before any non-essential analytics or marketing cookies are introduced.

6. ABTA and ATOL information
ABTA
InteleTravel UK Ltd is the member
Upway Travel is affiliated with InteleTravel UK Ltd, an ABTA member (P7384). Upway Travel is not presented as a separate ABTA member.
ABTA members follow the ABTA Code of Conduct and customers may have access to ABTA assistance and dispute-resolution services where the matter involves an ABTA member.

Protection depends on the booking
Many flights and flight-inclusive holidays arranged through supplier partners are financially protected by the ATOL scheme, but ATOL protection does not apply to every holiday, flight or travel service.
If your booking is ATOL protected, you will receive an ATOL Certificate. Please check that the certificate lists everything you expected to be protected. If you do not receive an ATOL Certificate, the booking will not be ATOL protected.
Learn about ATOL protectionFinancial protection is booking-specific. Before you pay, ask what protection applies to each travel service and retain the confirmation documents and any ATOL Certificate you receive.
7. Travel advice, passports, visas and health
Travel requirements can change between enquiry, booking and departure. It is each traveller’s responsibility to hold the correct passport, visas, permits, health documents and other entry or transit authorisations for the complete journey.
Check official advice for every destination and transit point, allowing enough time to act before departure:
- Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office travel advice — entry requirements, safety, security and local laws.
- TravelHealthPro — current destination-specific travel-health information and recommendations.
- GOV.UK passport guidance — applying for, renewing and using a British passport.
Seek personalised health advice from an appropriate health professional as early as possible, particularly if you have an existing health condition, take medication, are pregnant, require vaccinations or have accessibility needs. Official online guidance does not replace individual medical advice.
8. Payments and travel insurance
Upway Travel will not ask you to pay money into Matthew Lintott’s personal bank account or personal payment account, and will not accept cash or a cheque made payable to Matthew personally. Approved payment arrangements will be explained when a booking is ready to proceed.
Never send complete card details through this website’s enquiry form, ordinary email, social media or an unapproved messaging channel.
Appropriate travel insurance is strongly recommended from the time of booking. Consider cover for cancellation, medical treatment, repatriation, delays, baggage, planned activities and any existing medical conditions. Check the insurer’s terms, exclusions and disclosure requirements carefully.
9. Problems while travelling and complaints
If a problem occurs during your trip, report it immediately to the relevant principal or supplier, its local representative, or the contact shown in your travel documents. Prompt reporting gives the supplier the opportunity to investigate and help put matters right.
If the matter is not resolved while you are away, follow the complaint instructions in your confirmation documents and the relevant supplier’s conditions. Keep copies of correspondence, receipts, photographs and other useful evidence.
Upway Travel will assist where reasonably possible. Contact hello@upwaytravel.co.uk and, where the matter involves InteleTravel, copy CustomerServiceUK@InteleTravel.com.
If the matter cannot be resolved and involves InteleTravel or another ABTA member, you may be able to use ABTA’s approved alternative dispute-resolution service. Visit ABTA help and complaints for the current process.
10. Governing law, changes and contact
Nothing in these Website Terms affects any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
These Website Terms and any non-contractual dispute arising from use of the Upway Travel website are governed by the law of Scotland. The Scottish courts will have jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in another part of the United Kingdom.
These terms may be updated when the website, services, legal requirements or booking arrangements change. The current effective date and version will be shown at the top of this page.
Questions about these Website Terms or the consumer-protection information may be sent to hello@upwaytravel.co.uk.
Important distinction: these are Upway Travel’s website-use terms and customer-information pages. The InteleTravel Agency Terms of Business and the conditions of the relevant principal or supplier apply to any booking.
